Weekly Wrapper – 09/19/2016

Hello All,

We know that fall officially starts this week and with football season in full swing, that can only mean one thing….cooler weather = great riding weather!  Well, heat won’t stop us, but follow the lead from several of our chapter mates and take some time to test ride a new 2017.   All Ferman dealerships are hosting open houses this weekend and will be featuring food, drink, music and the new Harleys.  Come by and check it out!

Sorry for getting ahead of myself last week.  Here are this week’s highlights and you can always check the website in case I keep losing my mind!

There is still time to register for the LOH Painting with a Twist on Thursday evening the 22nd.  Don’t forget you need to make advance reservations. Visit http://www.paintingwithatwist.com/events/viewEvent.aspx?eventID=873479 for more information and to register.  Contact Geri Ford with any questions at 813.600.8473 or gerigo63@gmail.com.

In addition to the Open House, we also have three rides this weekend, from the Childhood Cancer Awareness Poker Run, to a cruise to RiverRatz with Crusher on Saturday and Russel is leading a ride to Jeremiah’s on Sunday.  As always, there are details on the website.  Please see below note from Crusher…

Cruising With Crusher – Saturday 9/24/16

Please join Road Captain Mark ‘Crusher’ Miller as he circumnavigates the Florida terrain to take a group of willing guinea pigs to River Ratz Café in Nobleton.  Crusher is newer to the chapter having relocated from Harley-Davidson’s mother-ship in Milwaukee and would love to have a great turn out.  The route has NOT been pre-ridden, and is guaranteed to be somewhat fun!  This is a roundabout ride departing and returning to the 7-Eleven at Highway 41 & 54.  Group will have lunch at River Ratz Café.

Originally this was to include canoeing for those interested, but that portion of the ride has been removed to allow for the return ride back.

Kickstands up from 7-Eleven at Highway 41 & 54 @ 9am.  Ride briefing @ 8:45am.  Crusher has prepared a .GPX ride plan and it is attached to the emailed Weekly Wrapper.  I was unable to add the file to this website Wrapper.

Don’t forget the Florida State HOG Rally is coming up in October.  If you want to stay over Friday and Saturday night, Crusher (Mark Miller) has one remaining room held at the second closest hotel to the Rally site.  Please contact Crusher at 262.623.2506 or crushercolt@gmail.com  if you are interested.  He is also leading a ride over to Lakeland on Friday and a breakfast return ride on Sunday…refer to our calendar for more information.

Here comes the Annual Picnic!  See the attached flyer and mark your calendars now!  The Board will be cooking for the Chapter and we will have games, prizes and a lot of fun.  Please send your completed form with payment addressed to Cigar City HOG and mailed to Jerry Umland at 18837 Maisons Drive Lutz, FL  33558.  Please arrange to respond by Saturday November 5th so we can be sure to have enough food.

Ride Safe!  Denise
