Please welcome new member, Gustavo Ruiz de Castilla! We look forward to getting to know you and welcome you to our Chapter!
As reviewed during our Chapter Meeting, please find attached flyers for our annual Chili Cook Off and this year’s Christmas Party. If you wish to participate in the Chili Cook Off, please get with Donna Madison and note the event will include a bake sale, Cruise-In and swap meet. Folks who wish to attend the Christmas Party need to send in the flyer plus $25/pp to Jeannie. Details are on the flyer.
Ride Safe! Denise
We hope this note finds you well and for those who went to the regional HOG Rally, it sounds like it was a good time! I expect we will hear more at our Chapter meeting this Saturday. Speaking of our Chapter meeting this coming Saturday; here are a couple of reminders;
- Jerry Palladino from Ride Like A Pro will be our guest speaker at the meeting. He will be talking about riding safety and will have some materials for purchase. If you have ever seen a demonstration, it is truly inspiring the control all riders can learn from their programs. Worth the price of admission alone! (Wait, the meeting is FREE)!
- Also, Donna is still looking for volunteers and participants for our annual Chili Cook Off on December 9th. The flyer is attached and be sure to catch up with her at the Chapter meeting. It would also be a great time to sign up to volunteer for Christmas Wrapping at the Dealership during the holiday season.
And what would the Holiday Season be without a party? Keep the date SUNDAY, December 17th open for our annual party at Heritage Harbor Country Club. More information from Jeannie is forthcoming.
Also, for those who plan on riding in the Veteran’s Day Ride this Friday, please let Larry know. While an RSVP is not required, it will sure help him plan based on the number of anticipated participants.
Ride Safe all!
If you had planned on attending our Board Meeting – previously scheduled for Thursday evening, it has been moved to tomorrow evening to accommodate the upcoming Regional Rally. Speaking of the Rally, contact Crusher if you are planning on heading up. We have folks leading rides on different days if you are interested.
Now that we have started to see some promising cooler weather, it is time to think about our upcoming Chili Cook Off. The event will be December 9th at the dealership and will feature not only some awesome chili prepared by our chapter brethren, but also a car show and swap meet. All proceeds will be going to BACA. If you are interested in cooking, volunteering, know car aficionados or have other information, please contact Donna Madison at 813.727.4655. Please also see the attached flyer.
Ride safe all!
Welcome to new members Vinnie Cacciatore and Mike Sheets! We got to meet Vinnie at the Chapter meeting and look forward to getting to know both of you. Check out Crusher’s ride to the Regional Hog rally below. While we don’t have a lot of other upcoming rides set up on the calendar right now, be sure to check back regularly for new entries and let’s get ready for some prime riding season! Remember, if you have an idea for a ride, be sure to get with one of our road captains to help plan it.
Congratulations to Donna and the LoH for a well-planned, led, and executed event this past Sat. It looks like there was a good turnout and Larry has received multiple positive comments already. Speaking of LoH, there is a meeting next Thursday at the Mission BBQ on Waters if you can attend and check it out!
Take care and ride safe!
We hope this note finds everyone well. Now that the “cooler” weather is getting closer, please contact any of our road captains to help plan a ride to a destination of your choice. We are always open for ideas, so let’s ride!
Speaking of rides… our ladies’ ride is Saturday, September 30th, leaving at 10:30 am from Tampa Harley. You do not have to ride your own bike to attend the ride. It is just a ride lead by the Ladies. We want as many bikes as we can get to parade for the residents. So, try to come if you can. Then we are going to lunch at the Columbia in Ybor.
Exclusive discount offer for chapter members!
Now through Oct 31, 2017, ACE Products (the licensee of HD branded items such as glassware, chairs, etc) is offering $15 off every $100 spent. This is a chapter member exclusive offer. Stop by the motor clothes counter to pick up your discount coupon, catalog, and discuss details of the promotion.
Only 90 days until Christmas. Here’s your chance to save money and get something special for that Harley Davidson fan on your list.
Everyone take care and Ride Safe!
Hey all! Due to a scheduling conflict, I am sending this out a day early.
We sure hope that everyone’s lives are returning to “normal” (whatever that means) and that everyone is doing well. Hopefully you were able to enjoy yesterday’s Ice Cream Social. And, the weather will be starting to turn cooler and there will be more opportunities to feel the wind in your face and bugs in your teeth! Here are the upcoming events. Reminder, the Chapter’s Board Meetings are open to all Chapter members, feel free to stop by and observe the process-especially if you are considering participating as a board member!
The Board has received requests from Chapter membership about support for those impacted by the hurricanes. At Saturday’s Chapter Meeting, we will send half of the 50/50 proceeds to the Red Cross and take any donations as well.
Please make sure you are taking proper preparations.
Sure hope everyone is doing well with all the local rain, and keep all those affected by Harvey in your thoughts and prayers. Take some time this upcoming Labor Day to relax, and expect your next Wrapper on Monday, September 11th.
